On this site I present my hobby, the collecting and building of bicycles. I have developed from the pure cyclist to the collector and for a longer time I have been building what fascinates me: Mainly racing cycles, old bicycles and old racing cycles. I don't think much of the true to original restoration.
Apart from the building of cycles I offer here also various calculations of the bicycle range as well as tips for touring. Driving with gps is completely current, to which there is a Workshop with examples.

Thus you can say: I'm lapsed into bicycle addiction.

The current projects are the Randonneur, the Wanderer-Rad of 1950, a Koga-Miyata - tracking bike from the late seventies
and the latest project: "Woodruff".

Projects

Here you can see bikes which are under construction. The pictures show in each case the starting situation and a selected picture, emanating from the course of the restoration, or the final state shows. If you click on one of the links, you see the documentations of the restoration work with all pictures so far.

Randonneur

My current project. I report constantly on the current conditions. The starting point is to be seen here.

Wanderer Bj. 1950

Koga-Miyata travel-cycle

A further ruin...

Woodruff

Build a CROSS racing cycle (single speed) from an older Mountain Bike.

Lady cycle 1920

A coming project...

bicycles ready to start

(finished projects)

Pinarello Montello 1989

A Pinarello. The framework originates from the year 1989. It concerns a complete self-'s building with Suntour and Campagnolo parts.

Single speed project

My single speed self-'s building. Here I tried to carry out a bike with classical appearance as simple as possible.

Red Bull X-Lite 4400

My current training wheel. It is based on an aluminum framework of the rose dispatch, equipped with Sram Force components and Mavic Ksyrium ES impellers.

Madona

A racing cycle newly developed in classic style with old cult- and retro- parts.

Komet approx. 1980

My training bike for bad weather. It is based on an old framework of the comet bicycle works. It develops itself further from year to year.

Superia Patrick Sercu 1983

Racing cycle from the 80's with Shimano 600EX- and Dura AceAX parts.

Peugeot 1985

Racing bike from Brügelmann - dispatch from the 80's with Shimano 600 AX- und Shimano 105 - parts.

Racing cycle of union (Sapporo)

A racing cycle with Campagnolo/Shimano mix. At this bike I used the classical Campagnolo parts, which would be too unfortunate for throwing away.

Columbus

Racing cycle of Columbus with Shimano equipment.

Bike for everyday (Hercules Saragossa approx.. 1983)

The bike for riding to work. It be based on a "racing cycle" of the 80's and it is moved approx. 3000 km per year.

Journey-bike

The bike for the journey, built from good old parts. It survived already four cycle journeys.

Perhaps you ask yourself why the bicycles described above develop so slowly. There are two reasons for this:
  • I use only high-quality and therefore also expensive parts.
  • I drive approx. 13km (a direction) to the work. I invest the money, which I save in the comparison with going by car, with pure conscience into the bicycle addiction! (Fahrradsucht)!
